Weird face

So last year I was one of the lucky people who won Marvel's Chesterquest talent search, organised by the venerable C.B. Cebulski. It's taken a while for scripts and such to get finalised but I've just finished my first job for Marvel, a little eight pager for an anthology that'll be published...sometime this year I suppose. So the reason I haven't posted anything new in a while is because I can't show anything from this job. Plus when I'm working I tend not to draw anything else, even random little doodles. But now that I'm finished here's a....one of these. Your guess is as good as mine.

Drawn with the super chunky Cretacolor. 430 02 leadholder and a HB Pitt graphite stick from Faber-Castell.

Man, that is a beautiful photograph.

Isn't it though? I took it myself with the camera on my beeper.

Aren't you expecting a call from 1985?

Nice drawing. It reminds me of some of the weird creatures Alan Davis drew in his Clan Destine series.
